ALBA Berlin punched its ticket in the German Bundesliga Finals after sweeping the semifinal series vs Ludwigsburg with a 67-73 victory in the road. The reigning champions secured a Finals appearance for the fifth time in the last five years.

The Berliners will face the winner of the semifinal series between Bayern Munich and Telecom Baskets Bonn. In Game 3, ALBA used a 12-25 run in the third quarter to take the upper hand and get to the German BBL Finals.

Eleven players scored at least one basket for the Albatrosses with Ben Lammers and Tamir Blatt being the leading scorers with 11 points and 10 points. Lammers also grabbed seven rebounds for the winning side.

Bonn was able to remain alive in the series vs Bayern Munich beating the EuroLeague powerhouse 86-84 thanks to a winning defensive play of Karsten Tadda on Nick Weiler-Babb.

Prior to that, Bayern was able to return from a double-digit deficit but Bonn held to the win and extend the series to four games with Game 4 coming in Monday evening. Bayern need one more win to make it to the Finals.

At the same time, Bonn will have to win one more game in the road to get back at its home for the final game of the series. In Game 3, Jevontae Hawkins was the leading scorer with 19, while Deshaun Thomas was the leading performer for Bayern with 18.
