ACB announces top players of the regular season; Dzanan Musa named MVP

With ACB regular season coming to end, the competition announced the MVP and the five best players by position in the competition.

Dzanan Musa —the former Brooklyn Nets forward— was named the MVP of the regular season after leading Reo Berogan with 20.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.

Musa was also part of the ACB All-Team selection along with Marcelinho Huertas (Lenovo Tenerife), Nico Laprovittola (Barcelona), Chima Moneke (BAXI Manresa) and Giorgi Shermadini (Lenovo Tenerife).

Musa was selected with the 29th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, but, his time in the NBA was limited. He also had a quiet season with Efes last year.

As for the rest of the team, Huertas recorded 12.6 points per game to help Tenerife to have success in both the domestic and the international competition level. Laprovittola was the third-best player in the Endesa League in the +/- (+6), with 9.5 points and 2.6 assists.

Chima Moneke has been voted the second-best center in the Endesa League, receiving the highest score from the press and players. He was a huge part of BAXI Manresa success during the season.

The Georgian center of Lenovo Tenerife repeats for the third consecutive year in the Best quintet of ACB. The veteran center ranked 2nd in PIR shooting an excellent 70.8 percent from the field.
