Kelsey Plum provided a spark in the fourth quarter to lead the Las Vegas Aces to an 85-74 victory over the Seattle Storm Sunday night. This was the second straight win for the Aces, who made a perfect start to the WNBA season.
A’ja Wilson had 20 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks, while Plum scored 10 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter to push the Aces to the victory. Breanna Stewart had 21 points and eight rebounds for the Storm (1-1). Jewell Loyd added 19 points.
Shakira Austin had a double-double in her first career start and the Washington Mystics beat the Minnesota Lynx 78-66. Austin, the No. 3 overall pick out of Ole Miss in last month’s draft, had 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting and 10 rebounds.
Liz Cambage had 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds and the Los Angeles Sparks beat the Indiana Fever 87-77. The Sparks have started the season 2-0 for the first time since 2018.
The Sparks remained ahead in the fourth quarter scoring 29 points. Brittney Sykes added 17 points and had five steals, while Nneka Ogwumike had 13 points, eight rebounds and three steals for Los Angeles.
