Candace Parker had 16 points, six rebounds and seven assists, and the Chicago Sky beat the Indiana Fever 95-90 on Tuesday night. The Chicago Sky received their 2021 WNBA championship rings prior to the game.
Courtney Vandersloot had 14 points, six rebounds and seven assists for the Sky (4-2). Azura Stevens added 15 points, while Kahleah Copper and Allie Quigley each scored 12 as the Sky prevailed in a hard-fought battle.
Kelsey Mitchell scored 25 points for Indiana (2-7), which has lost five games in a row. Victoria Vivians had 17 points and seven rebounds, and Emily Engstler recorded her first career double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Elena Delle Donne scored 15 points to reach 4,000 for her career and the Washington Mystics beat the Atlanta Dream 70-50. Washington took control in the third quarter, outscoring Atlanta 20-8 to help build a 54-33 lead.
Kennedy Burke added 13 points for Washington (6-2). Atlanta had a hard time scoring the ball shooting 35.7 percent from the field and making only four of its 21 attempts from beyond the arc.
Aerial Powers had 18 points and the Minnesota Lynx held off the New York Liberty 84-78 Tuesday night. Sylvia Fowles finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds, while Moriah Jefferson scored 12.
Natasha Howard had 23 points to lead the Liberty (1-5). Han Xu had 11 points and seven rebounds off the bench, while Sabrina Ionescu registered 10 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
Marina Mabrey scored 20 points, Allisha Gray added 17 points and eight rebounds, and the Dallas Wings beat the Connecticut Sun 85-77. Arike Ogunbowale added 16 points for Dallas (5-2).
The Wings trailed 38-27 run at the half-time, but, they powered their way back taking its first lead since the opening minutes late in the third quarter. Alyssa Thomas, Jonquel Jones and Brionna Jones each scored 13 points for Connecticut (4-2).
The Sun saw their four-game winning getting snapped at home. Connecticut announced before the game Jasmine Thomas suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the WNBA season.
