WNBA action continued Thursday as DeWanna Bonner scored 18 points and the Connecticut Sun beat the Dallas Wings 99-68. Connecticut (5-2) avenged an 85-77 loss to the Wings on Tuesday night.
Natisha Hiedeman had 17 points and six assists, Brionna Jones added 15 points, DiJonai Carrington scored all 13 of her points in the second half, and Jonquel Jones had 12 points for Connecticut.
The Sun took a 47-35 lead in the first half as Jonquel Jones and Hiedeman each scored 10 points. The visitors had a perfect 16-of-16 from the free throw line and finished with 25 makes in 27 free throw attempts.
Satou Sabally finished with 18 points and scored 11 of Dallas’ opening 27 points. Arike Ogunbowale put up 16 points and Allisha Gray had 11 for the Wings, who dropped to 5-3 after Thursday’s loss.
