Wade Baldwin, Baskonia earn first EuroLeague win in 2022

Wade Baldwin and Baskonia rallied past Anadolu Efes at home (87-74), claiming their first EuroLeague win in 2022.

The American guard went for 20 points (8/11 shooting) and 11 assists, helping the Basques snap an eight-game losing sreak in the EuroLeague.

On the other hand, Vasilije Micic (23 points) and Shane Larkin (21 points, 7/12 from beyond the arc) combined for 44 points for Efes.

The reigning champions led by seven at halftime (36-43), but the hosts took over in the second half. Playing very well on both ends, they outscored Efes 51-31 and cruised to the win.


MVP: Wade Baldwin made a stellar performance for Baskonia and his impressive double-double led his team to the win.

Key to victory: The Basques’ performance in the second half. The hosts were dominant and their 51-31 run was enough to seal the deal.

Baskonia put an end to its eight-game losing streak and improved to 8-19 in the standings. On the contrary, Anadolu Efes dropped to 14-13, but remained within the playoff zone.

Up next, Wade Baldwin and Baskonia will face ASVEL Villeurbanne on Thursday. On the contrary, Anadolu Efes will play Monaco on Friday.
