Virtus Bologna and Kevin Hervey mutual agreed to part ways, the club announced earlier. Following an injury-filled season, the former Lokomotiv Kuban man will continue his career elsewhere.
The 2.07-meter big man averaged 9.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 10.7 PIR over 14 EuroCup games last season. A right knee meniscus tear contributed to Hervey’s struggles on the court as he missed time due to the injury.
Hervey spent two seasons with the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA G League. He also played in 10 games with the Oklahoma City Thunder and averaged 1.7 points and 1.2 rebounds.
The big man spent four years in the NCAA with the Texas-Arlington Mavericks before taking his chance to play in the NBA. The 57th pick of the 2018 NBA Draft played for Lokomotiv prior to his time with Virtus.
After parting ways with Hervey, Bologna has announced the signing of Semi Ojeleye on Thursday bolstering its forward rotation with the former Boston and Milwaukee defensive swingman.
