Virtus Bologna officially announced that star guard Marco Belinelli will remain out of action for six weeks.
The Italian guard is dealing with a hamstring injury in his left thigh. He sustained the injury during the EuroCup game vs Venezia last week.
Marco Belinelli will undergo treatment and Virtus’ medical staff will re-evaluate him soon. He is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season in the EuroCup.
Marco Belinelli has appeared in 12 EuroCup games this season, averaging 12.4 points, 2.8 assists and 1.2 rebounds.

Virtus Bologna is currently fourth in Group B, with an 8-6 record. With four games remaining in the regular season, the Italians are fighting for a place in the playoffs.
This week, Virtus returns to action in the EuroCup and will host Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana on Wednesday.
The addition of Daniel Hackett and Tornike Shengelia bolstered the team’s roster, with Virtus aiming to reach the EuroCup Finals. The Italin team is a prime candidate to play in the EuroLeague next season.
