Real Madrid is extending Rudy Fernandez contract for one more season, the club stated on Tuesday. Fernandez’s stint with the Whites extends for more than a decade, being part of the team since 2012.
Fernandez, 37, has helped Real celebrate two EuroLeague championships in 2015 and 2018, six Spanish Liga Endesa titles (2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2022), as well as seven Spanish Supercups (2012-2014, 2018-2021).

He has been named into the All-EuroLeague First Team twice in 2013 and 2014. Last season, Fernandez averaged 6.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 15.6 minutes of play in the ACB.
He slightly amped up those numbers in EuroLeague averaging 6.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 34 appearances during his 12th season of his career in the top competition of the European basketball.
So far, Madrid kept their core of veteran players as they retained or extended the contracts of Sergio Llull and Fabien Causer in addition to Fernandez. The Whites are also close to sign another veteran Spanish player in Sergio Rodriguez.
