Real Madrid officially reunited with veteran star point guard Sergio Rodriguez, the Madrid club announced Monday. It was speculated for weeks that the Whites had a deal in place for the former Milan playmaker.
Rodriguez, 36, played for Los Blancos between 2010 and 2016. Running the team from the point guard position, Rodriguez helped win a EuroLeague championship in 2016. He was e was crowned champion in Spain’s ACB three times during this stint.

In 2021-22, he averaged 8.3 points, 4.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds with Milan this past season. Ettore Messina’s side made the Playoffs, but was eliminated by future champion Anadolu Efes in four games.
In his third year in Italy, the Spanish international point guard had 11.1 points, 5.5 assists, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game at the domestic level. The two-time EuroLeague champion has also 358 NBA games during his career.
He played for the Blazers, the Kings, the Knicks and the 76ers. Madrid has already added ACB’s regular season MVP Dzanan Musa and parted ways with Jeffery Taylor, Trey Tompkins and Thomas Heurtel.
