Real Madrid legend Jaycee Carroll officially announced his retirement from basketball during Game 2 of the ACB playoffs vs Baskonia.
After taking the year off, Carroll officially announced his decision to retire. The American guard spent 10 years with the EuroLeague powerhouse (2011-2021) and won a total of 20 titles in all competitions. He also holds the record for games played for Real from a foreigner player.
“I had to come back for all the good memories I enjoyed here all these years and to thank Real Madrid for giving me the opportunity to live my dreams,” the 39-year-old former player told the club’s fans prior to Game 2.
