Real Madrid dominated Maccabi Tel-Aviv in Game 2 of the EuroLeague playoff series (95-66) and came a step away from the Final Four.
The “Whites” used a 19-8 run in the opening quarter to take control and never look back. Real led by 19 at halftime (56-37) and cruised to the victory, as the Israelis never recovered (74-48, 95-66).
Vincent Poirier had 16 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks for the winners, with Guerschon Yabusele adding 16 and Sergio Llull 17 points, respectively. No player of Maccabi Tel-Aviv scored in double figures.
The series now moves to Israel for Games 3 and 4 next week. Maccabi has to win both to force a Game 5, whereas Real needs just a win to qualify for the Final Four.
