Paris Lee has officially joined Panathinaikos BC on a two-year deal, the Greek club announced Friday. It’s the first signing of the offseason for the Greens, after hiring Dejan Radonjic as the team’s head coach Thursday.
The Illinois State product is coming off a great season with AS Monaco Basket, when he helped the team reach the EuroLeague playoffs in its maiden participation in the top-tier European competition.
He averaged 7.2 points, 1.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists και 1.0 steals per contest, being one of the top defensive guards in the league. He started his overseas career in Belgium with Antwerp Giants.
In his second season in the team he reached the BCL Final Four and won the Belgian Cup. He then played for Brose Bamberg, with whom he had 9.0 points, 6.1 assists and 2.1 rebounds per contest in the German BBL.
Lee took his game to the next level in the following season playing for Orleans Loiret Basket of French Pro A where he had a stand-out year with averages of 14.9 points, 7.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game.
