Olympiacos and Monaco will collide in the EuroLeague playoffs, which tip off on April 19. The “Reds” have the home-court advantage and the first two games of the best-of-five series will take place at Piece and Friendship Stadium.
Following the loss of Real Madrid to Bayern Munich on Friday (88-97), Olympiacos finished second in the standings (19-9). As a result, they will take on the Monegasques, who claimed the seventh place (15-13).
Olympiacos lost only twice in its last 10 EuroLeague games and will seek to take advantage of its home court. The “Reds” have lost only once at Piece and Friendship Stadium this season (13-1).
For its part, Monaco ended the regular season with an emphatic home victory over ALBA Berlin (91-74). The Monegasques extended their winning streak to five games and have won 9 of their last 11.
The two sides split the season series (1-1), earning easy home wins (86-65 in Piraeus, 92-72 in Monaco).
