Olympiacos was unstoppable offensively and rallied past Bayern Munich (88-98) to make another step towards the playoffs.
The “Reds” took control in the second half, outscored the Bavarians 35-48 and cruised to the victory.
The visitors extended their winning streak to four games in the EuroLeague and improved to 16-9. Olympiacos maintained a top four push and is still chasing Armani Milano for the third place in the standings.
On the contrary, the hosts fell to 12-13 and now are outside the playoff zone. Bayern has lost three of its last five.
MVP: Tyler Dorsey led all scorers with 25 points, with 13 of them coming in the opening quarter. Four more players scored in double figures for the winners.
Key to victory: Olympiacos dominated Bayern on both ends in the second half. The 48 points they scored was the main reason they earned the win.
Next week, Olympiacos travels to Berlin to face ALBA (March 10). For its part, Bayern will seek a return to the winning track on March 18, when they battle Armani Milano on the road.
