Olympiacos officially parting ways with Tyler Dorsey

Tyler Dorsey officially became a free agent after one season in Piraeus with Olympiacos, as the club announced earlier. Dorsey is set to make an NBA return after three seasons in the EuroLeague.

The California-born Greek-American has recorded 104 appearances in the NBA. He played for the Atlanta Hawks and the Memphis Grizzlies before making the jump to the EuroLeague.

He played two seasons in Tel Aviv and had a career year in Greece with Olympiacos last season. He helped the team reach the EuroLeague Final-4 for the first time in five years and become a fan-favorite in the process.

He registered 11.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.1 blocks in three EuroLeague seasons. Dorsey had the best year of his career this past season averaging 12.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game and shooting 44.2% from the field.

The Dallas Mavericks are reportedly interested in the Oregon product, who hopes to return to the NBA next season.
