Reporting from Belgrade
Olympiacos head coach Giorgos Bartzokas was proud of his players following the loss to Anadolu Efes in the EuroLeague semi-final (74-77).
Despite the defeat, the EuroLeague Coach of the Year said his players did their best and there is nothing to complain about.
“Both teams had pressure, it was a tight game as we expected. One or two decisions, one or two crucial shots. And of course the last one was very tough for us.
Congratulations to Efes. I cannot complain about anything with our players. We gave everything. We had a little more pressure than we should, but this is basketball,” coach Bartzokas told media afterwards.
In front of more than 12K Olympiacos fans at Stark Arena, the “Reds” missed the chance to advance to the EuroLeague Championship Game. They will now take on either Barcelona or Real Madrid for the third place.
