Nikola Mirotic shared his excitement about the qualification of Barcelona for the EuroLeague Final Four. The star forward of the Catalans said his team eventually showed up when it mattered the most and advanced to the semi-finals.
“This is EuroLeague. There are no easy games. So far, we’ve learned how to suffer as a team, but in the key moments, we are there. We show up. Today we did it.
It was a great atmosphere. We didn’t have our best first half, as we wanted, but the second half was amazing the way we played defense, the way we shared the ball on offense.
It was just a great performance by my team, I am very proud of the guys, of the coaching staff. As we know, the job is not done, but you have to be happy because we classified for the Final Four,” Nikola Mirotic told media afterwards.
The “Blaugrana” used a 29-15 run in the third quarter to take control and never look back. Bayern never recovered in the fourth and Barcelona eventually won the game (81-72) and the series (3-2). The Catalans will now play Real Madrid in the semi-final.
