Nikola Mirotic calls Barcelona season a ‘failure’ after loss to Real Madrid in ACB Final

Nikola Mirotic didn’t mince his words while talking about the overall performance of Barcelona in the 2021/22 season. After losing the ACB Finals to Real Madrid (3-1), the star forward called the season a failure.

“The season was unsuccessful. It was a failure. We play for Barcelona and we have to claim titles. It is not enough to just play Championship Games or Finals series. We have to win them too,” Nikola Mirotic said after Game 4 defeat.

Barcelona finished the ACB and EuroLeague regular season with the best record. Yet, they lost both titles. The only trophy they claimed was the Copa Del Rey back in February.

With that in mind, several changes are set to take place to the roster, as the club will aim to turn things around next season.
