Nikola Jokic is looking forward to playing for Serbia in EuroBasket

Nikola Jokic joined the training camp of Serbia and will start preparing for the upcoming EuroBasket (September 1-18).

The reigning NBA MVP shared his excitement about returning to the national team for a major FIBA tournament. The last time he played for Serbia was in the 2019 Basketball World Cup.

“I feel great, similar to every time I reunite with these guys. I just met some of them. We are preparing, we just started and we will see how far we can go. Up first are the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers and the goal of helping Serbia qualify to the World Cup,” Nikola Jokic told media on Wednesday. “It won’t be easy. The main thing is to qualify for the World Cup, and then we will talk about the EuroBasket. We all go there with the goal of winning the tournament, but we go one day at a time. To put it this way, we have to be careful,” Jokic added.
