Nicolas Laprovittola will be with FC Barcelona for three more seasons following a great individual campaign with the Catalans. The Argentinian veteran guard had his best season of his career in EuroLeague, and was named in the ACB’s top 5 players of the season.
It should be noted that Laprovittola played 89 of the 90 possible games between the Endesa League (44), the EuroLeague (38), the Copa del Rey (3), the Super Cup (2) and the Catalan League (2).
His availability was key for FC Barcelona, who saw the starting guard averaging 9.3 points on 56 percent shooting on two-pointers, 2.5 assists and 9.2 PIR in 20 minutes per contest. He amped up those numbers in a career-year in the Euroleague.
More specifically, he had an average of 9.6 points on 44 percent from beyond the arc, 3.1 assists and a PIR of 9.8 per game in 20 minutes. Laprovittola hopes next seasons to be more successful after a disappointing ending to the 2021-22 campaign.
“I’m very happy. Last year I took a step forward and the club is trusting me again,” the Argentinian guard said (h/t Gigantes Del Basket).
“We must be united as a group, we all want to achieve great things. The club makes the effort so that we can win titles, and it is important to put together good performances.”
FC Barcelona has already shown its urgency to win in the ACB and the EuroLeague next season by adding Jan Vesely and Tomas Satoransky, who will play alongside Laprovittola next season.
