Monaco aims to keep Donatas Motiejunas to the roster and is finalizing a contract extension with the Lithuanian big man.
This is what Donatas Urbonas of Basketnews.com reports, adding that the new deal will be for two years. Motiejunas will remain with the Monegasques for a second straight season, after joining the team in the summer of 2021.

The veteran big man, who returned to the EuroLeaue after spending 10 years between the NBA and China, averaged 9.7 points, on 63.5% from the field, and 4.6 rebounds in 19 minutes on the floor.
Last season, Monaco reached the EuroLeague playoffs for the first time in club history, while they also lost the French League Finals to ASVEL Villeurbanne in Game 5.
The club is expected to make some significant additions this offseason and bolster its roster, as they have agreed to deals with Jordan Loyd, John Brown, Donta Hall and Elie Okobo. Meawhile, Mike James is also set to remain with the squad.
