Monaco crushes Olympiacos to “steal” home-court advantage

Monaco dominated Olympiacos in Game 2 at Piece and Friendship Stadium and evened the EuroLeague playoff series (1-1).

The Monegasques played tremendously on both ends and cruised to an easy road win (72-96).

After a poor start to the game (16-10), the visitors turned things and took over on both ends.

They went on a 0-20 run in the second quarter to take the lead and never look back (21-35).

Olympiacos attempted a comeback, but Monaco comfortably retained its lead to win the game.

Dwayne Bacon and Mike James combined for 40 points for the winners, scoring 17 and 23, respectively.

James had just two points in the first half and 21 in the second.

For their part, the hosts turned the ball over 20 times and conceded 42 more points compared to Game 1 (71-54).

The series is now tied (1-1) and moves to Monaco for Games 3 and 4 next week.

If either team wins both, they will advance to the Final Four. If Olympiacos wins just one, they will reclaim the home-court advantage and force a Game 5.
