Monaco stunned Armani Milano at Mediolanum Forum (63-72) and came a step away from the EuroLeague playoffs.
The visitors improved to 14-13 and will qualify for the postseason if ALBA Berlin loses to Anadolu Efes on Friday. On the other hand, the hosts fell to 18-9 and now are on a three-team tie with Real Madrid and Olympiacos for second in the standings.
MVP: Mike James (19 points) and Donta Hall (16 points) combined for 35 points for the winners. Shavon Shields was the top scorer of Armani with 22 points (9/16 shooting).
Key to victory: Monaco went on an impressive 1-20 run in the third quarter to take control. The Monegasques outscored the Italians 26-41 in the second half to win the game.
In its final regular season game, Monaco will host ALBA Berlin on Friday. A day earlier, Armani Milano will travel to France to play ASVEL Villeurbanne.
