After parting ways with FC Barcelona, Brandon Davies joins Olimpia Milan on a two-year deal, the club announced Friday. Davies, 31, arrives in Milano after spending the previous three seasons with FC Barcelona.
Davies joined Barca in 2019 and has won a Spanish League championship in 2021 and two Spanish Cups in 2021 and 2022. Prior to that, he played for Zalgiris Kaunas under head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius.
Davies will return to Italy after having a one-year stint with Varese back in the 2016. He started his career in the NBA playing for the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets between 2013 and 2015.
He played for Elan Chalon Sur Saone in France before joining Varese. He then joined Monaco before jumping into Lithuania’s powerhouse Zalgiris Kaunas in 2017. During his NBA career, he has scored 286 points and has grabbed 192 rebounds.
In Chalon, he has won the French Leaders Cup, in Lithuania he has won two National league championships and two National Cups. He has been named three times EuroLeague player of the Round. He has also played for the Ugandan National Team.
“I’m excited to be here and play for the Italian Champions. I can’t wait to start working, alongside this group of guys. See you all soon,”, Davies said.
