With EuroLeague playoffs looming, Olimpia Milano announced a positive case of Covid-19 in the team. That’s a huge issue for Milan regarding its EuroLeague title aspirations.

The Italian club is playing Cremona now for the domestic league, and they’re waiting to find out who they will face in the EuroLeague playoffs next week.

Six team members tested positive for coronavirus last week. However, the Italian outfit managed to defeat LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne on the road to complete the schedule of the EuroLeague regular season and earn the third seed in the playoffs.

Milan has also ruled Dinos Mitoglou out, who has tested positive for an anti-doping test recently, while Luigi Datome is out with injury. The Italian side will play either Maccabi Tel Aviv or Anadolu Efes in the EuroLeague playoffs next week.

The best-of-five series will stretch between April 19 and May 4. The season-ending tournament follows at Belgrade’s Stark Arena from 19 to 21 May.
