Manresa will not have Ismael Bako for the international and domestic competitions after suffering an injury on his left hand, the team announced Wednesday.
Bako, 26, was slated to play for Belgium in the upcoming home-and-away games vs Latvia. His injury will keep him out for a few weeks.
He is projected to miss Basketball Champions League and ACB contests coming up for the Spanish team.
Manresa is scheduled to play the next BCL game on March 7, after beginning BCL Round of 16 Group J at 1-1.
Bako is averaging 9.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.1 blocks, and 0.6 steals per contest in the Champions League season.
He has put up 11.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.8 blocks, and 0.4 steals through 21 appearances in the ACB. His team is at 14-7 in the Spanish League.
Bako played for Telenet Giants Antwerp in his career. He also had played for LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, making 50 appearances in the EuroLeague. He won the French league and the French Cup with ASVEL last season.
