Maccabi Tel-Aviv finishes fifth; will face Real Madrid in EuroLeague playoffs

Maccabi Tel-Aviv defeated Fenerbahce in the regular season finale (85-76) and clinched the fifth spot in the standings (17-11).

The Israelis closed the game vs the Turks on a 12-1 run to claim the victory and extend their winning streak to six games.

Maccabi will now take on 4th-placed Real Madrid in the EuroLeague playoffs. The Spaniards have the home-court advantage.

At the same time, Anadolu Efes earned the sixth place on the table and will now face Armani Milano. The Italians have the home-court advantage in the series.

The other two EuroLeague playoff matchups will see FC Barcelona play Bayern Munich and Olympiacos clash with Monaco. The postseason tips off on Tuesday, April 19.
