Maccabi Tel-Aviv rallied past ASVEL Villeurbanne at home (94-73) and secured its place in the EuroLeague playoffs.
The Israelis extended their winning streak to four games and remained undefeated at home in 2022. Thanks to its victory, Maccabi improved to 15-11 and climbed to fifth in the standings. On the other hand, ASVEL remained close to the bottom, dropping to 8-19.
MVP: Five players scored in double figures for the winners, with Ante Zizic leading the way with a game-high 24 points.
Key to victory: The hosts played excellent on both ends in the second half and outscored the French 52-34 to cruise to the victory.
Next week, Maccabi travels to Spain to take on FC Barcelona, which has already clinched the top spot. The Israelis will also play Fenerbahce on April 13 in a Round 23 makeup game to conclude the regular season.
For its part, ASVEL Villeurbanne will play its final regular season game in the EuroLeague at home and will welcome Armani Milano on Thursday.
