Luka Doncic plans to play for Slovenia in the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers and the EuroBasket. This is what the superstar of the Dallas Mavericks revealed during his exit interview.
Doncic noted he will join the national team if he is healthy and will start training on June 15. Currently at 2-2, Slovenia will host Croatia on June 30 and visit Sweden on July 3, aiming to clinch one of the top three spots and enter Group J of the next stage.
The NBA superstar will then have some rest and will start preparing for the EuroBasket (1-18 September). The Slovenians will take on Lithuania, Hungary, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Germany, and France in the group stage.
In 80 games with the Mavs this season, Luka Doncic averaged 29 points, 9.3 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.3 steals. Dallas reached the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2011.
