MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg earned the third place in the FIBA Basketball Champions League after prevailing 88-68 over Hapoel Holon. Justin Simon had a big game for the winners, registering a career-high 27 points in the opening act of the BCL Final-Four’s final day.
Ludwigsburg completed the first half leading by 13 (42-29). While Holon found it tough to score, Justin Simon was astonishing with 16 points in the first quarter and 21 at the end of the first half.

The German club did not slow down in the second half. Coach John Patrick’s side started the second half off strong as well, making a 10-2 run for the biggest lead of the game (52-31).
The German BBL side kept its distance for the rest of the game and earned the third place in the Basketball Champions League for the 2021-22 season. The Israeli club could not come back into the game despite Tyrus McGee’s 14 points, which was a team-high.
The BCL Final-Four, which takes place in Bilbao, will be concluded with the Final tonight between BAXI Manresa and Lenovo Tenerife.
