Lithuania, Spain the only undefeated teams in BWC European Qualifiers

Lithuania and Spain remained the only undefeated teams in the European Qualifiers of the 2023 Basketball World Cup.

The Lithuanians survived a late thriller over Bulgaria (70-72) and climbed to 5-0 in Group F. For their part, the Spaniards crushed North Macedonia (80-44) and improved to 4-0 in Group G.

The two teams have already clinched their spot to the second round of the Qualifiers, which will tip off in late August.

Here are the results of Day 2 of the European Qualifiers:

Group E (France, Montenegro, Hungary have already qualified):

Hungary (3-2) vs Portugal (0-5): 69-68

Montenegro (3-2) vs France (4-1): 70-69

Group F (Lithuania has already qualified)

Bulgaria (1-4) vs Lithuania (5-0): 70-72

Czech Republic (3-2) vs Bosnia and Herzegovina (3-2): 93-81

Group G (Spain, Georgia, Ukraine have already qualified)

Spain (4-0) vs North Macedonia (0-5): 80-44

Ukraine (2-2) vs Georgia (3-2): 79-66

Group H (Italy, Iceland and the Netherlands have already qualified)

Iceland (3-1) vs the Netherlands (0-3): 67-66
