“There are several reasons. Obviously, the ambitions of the club come first. The managers told me about the objectives for the upcoming season and that convinced me right away.
I kept an eye on the team last year. Their fighting spirit in the EuroLeague, the seriousness of the staff and the management made me want to join Monaco.
The club has big dreams and I know we can achieve them. I can’t wait to start the season,” Loyd told the official website of the Monegasques.
The 28-year-old American guard averaged 13.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and a PIR of 14.5 in 23 EuroLeague games last season.
Loyd becomes the second signing of the Monegasques this season, after Elie Okobo. Meanwhile, the squad signed Mike James to a two-year contract extension.
