ASVEL added another veteran French player to the roster, signing Joffrey Lauvergne to a three-year deal, as the club announced Friday. Lauvergne spent the last two seasons in EuroLeague with Zalgiris.
The Kaunas-based team announced they parted ways with the veteran center today prior to ASVEL making the agreement with Lauvergne. He was Lithuanian League champion and won the Lithuanian Cup twice during his two-year stint in Kaunas.

The big man is returning to his home country after 10 years after playing for Elan Chalon between 2009 and 2012. Since then, Lauvergne recorded 117 EuroLeague games with Partizan NIS, Fenerbahce Beko, and most recently Zalgiris.
He also had a notable career in the NBA registering 212 games played in the NBA splitting his time between Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls, and San Antonio Spurs in four seasons.
“The arrivals of Nando (De Colo) and Joffrey say a lot! It’s the continuity of our project. We want to bring LDLC ASVEL as high as possible in Europe. Their experience will be extremely valuable in guiding this very ambitious group,” team’s president Tony Parker said.
This offseason, the French League champions have already signed Nando De Colo, Parker Jackson-Cartwright, Retin Obasohan, Jonah Mathews, Anthony Polite, and Yves Pons.
