Fenerbahce has parted ways with forward Marial Shayok, the team announced Friday. Shayok signed with the Turkish powerhouse last summer.
The 26-year-old forward made the jump to Europe last season after spending most his rookie season with the Philadelphia 76ers affiliate Delaware Blue Coats.
Coming out of Iowa State, he was picked by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 54th overall selection of the 2019 NBA draft.
He led his team in scoring during the 2019-20 season averaging 23 points. He signed with the Turkish outlet Bursaspor last season.
The Canadian forward finished an incredible 2020-21 campaign averaging 23.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.
Shayok made the jump to the upper echelon of the European basketball scene signing for EuroLeague powerhouse Fenerbahce.
He appeared in 15 EuroLeague games with the Turks averaging just 4.6 points per contest.
