FC Barcelona hosts Crvena Zvezda at “Palau Blaugrana” in the second game of Friday’s action in the EuroLeague.
Coming off an unexpected loss in Kaunas against Zalgiris, FC Barcelona wants to return to victories facing Crvena zvezda.
The Serbians are in a really good condition at the moment. They are on a four-game winning streak and, at this time, they are in the playoff spots.
But, I think that things here are more simple than in the other game that takes place in Spain, too. Firstly, the Spanish club wants to end any conversation about the first place, as Real Madrid, Armani and Olympiacos are just behind them.
In fact, if they lose today, things will be much more difficult in the next games as, among other games, the “Blaugrana” will visit “Peace and Friendship Stadium” in the penultimate game of the regular season.
As you can understand, they surely want to avoid any trouble and possible scenarios. Beyond that, for Zvezda is not a must-win game. For sure they will aim to win other games, easier than today’s one.
Of course, I don’t mean that they won’t fight for the win today, but I think that the hosts want the win more than Zvezda. If I see the trandition too, Crvena Zvezda has never won at “Palau” and the Catalans have won relatively easily in most games.
In 13 games, the wins are eleven for the hosts and two for the guests, both in Belgrade. We must also notice that FC Barcelona has only one home loss this year (13-1), the one against Armani Milano (73-75).
So, here, I will choose to play an FC Barcelona win with 6.5 points and more. We can find this option in an 1.47 odd.
Baskonia wants to double its wins over ALBA Berlin
In a highly important game that is going to take place at “Fernando Buesa Arena” of Vitoria tonight, Baskonia hosts ALBA Berlin, wanting to win the second clash between the two teams.
In Round 4 of the regular season, the Basques had defeated the Germans at “O2 Arena” of Berlin (76-80).
Both teams are in a good condition and have the same wins in the EuroLeague (9). But, ALBA has played fewer games (3). They can still “catch” the playoff spots, so both of them will give their 100% for winning the matchup.
I strongly believe that Baskonia has the lead in this clash. At home, they are much stronger, rather than playing on the road. So, my personal bet here will be Baskonia’s win, without a handicap, as I wait to see a real derby on the court. We can find this option in an odd near 1.45.
In conclusion:
Baskonia – ALBA Berlin 1 1.45
FC Barcelona – Crvena Zvezda 1 -6.5 points
