Nick Calathes could part ways with Barcelona this offseason and has already been linked to Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Fenerbahce.
As the Israeli website Walla Sport reports, the Greek guard and the “Blaugrana” could agree to a contract termination, as Calathes is entering the final year of his current deal.
In that case, both the Israelis and the Turks are expected to make him an offer. Both EuroLeague powerhouses hired new head coaches in Oded Cattash (Maccabi) and Dimitris Itoudis (Fenerbahce), therefore several changes are set to take place to their rosters.
For its part, Barcelona ended the season in a disappointing way, losing to Real Madrid in the ACB Finals (3-1). The Catalans had the best record in the ACB and EuroLeague regular season, yet they only claimed the Spanish Cup.
The “Blaugrana” have already been linked to Tomas Satoransky and his arrival could lead to Nick Calathes eventually leaving the club after two years.
