Olimpia Milan has entered the Deshaun Thomas sweepstakes and offered the veteran forward a deal for 1+1 years, per La Repubblica (h/t Sportando). The previous days, it was reported that Virtus Bologna and Panathinaikos are interested in the player.
The current report notes Virtus is also in negotiation with the player, but the alleged offer is lower than Milan’s offered contract. Deshaun Thomas remains a free agent after a great season with Bayern Munich.
Thomas averaged 9.6 points along with 3.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 36 EuroLeague contests. The veteran forward has multiple seasons under his belt in the top-tier European competition.
He played for Maccabi, Panathinaikos and FC Barcelona among others. Last season, he was one of the top performers in a Bayern’s team that ended up reaching the EuroLeague playoffs for the second consecutive season.
In the German BBL, Thomas reached the easyCredit BBL finals, averaging almost 15 points along with 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists through 40 appearances.’
