Fenerbahce aims to further bolster its backcourt line and is interested in signing Iffe Lundberg. This is what Emiliano Carchia of Sportando reports, noting that the two sides are in talks.
The Danish guard spent the first part of the season with CSKA Moscow, but left the team after the Muscovites’ withdrawal from the EuroLeague as a result of the Russia-Ukraine war.
He then moved to the Phoenix Suns, but didn’t have much playing time and became a free agent after the end of the season.
If Lundberg joins Fenerbahce, he will reunite with head coach Dimitris Itoudis, who was his coach in CSKA Moscow. For their part, the Turks have already bolstered their backcourt with the addition of Scottie Wilbekin.
Fenerbahce is showing serious interest in Iffe Lundberg, sources tell @Sportando. The Danish guard spent last season between CSKA Moscow (coached by Itoudis, new Fener HC) and Suns (3.2ppg in 4 contests). The two sides are in talks — Emiliano Carchia (@Carchia) July 8, 2022
