EuroLeague rumors: Barcelona in talks with Scottie Wilbekin

Barcelona aims to bolster its roster for next season and wants to sign Maccabi Tel-Aviv superstar Scottie Wilbekin.

This is what Arale Weisberg of Walla Sport reports, noting that even if there is an agreement between the two sides, the Catalans should also agree to a buyout with the Israeli powerhouse too.

The “Blaugrana” are expected to make changes to their backcourt line and have already been linked to Tomas Satoransky as well.

Scottie Wilbekin has spent the previous four seasons with Maccabi and Fenerbahce has also showed interest to sign him. This season, he averaged 15.4 points, 4.1 assists and a PIR of 15.1, as the Israeli finished fifth in the regular seasom.

Barcelona is currently playing rivals Real Madrid in the ACB Finals and is trailing the series 0-1. Game 2 is on Wednesday at “Palau Blaugrana”.
