EuroLeague round 30 came to an end on Friday night with FC Barcelona getting a victory over Crvena Zvezda to remain atop of the standings.
The Spanish giants had a great shooting night with Nick Calathes and Rokas Jakubaitis piling up the assists.
Barca was really effective at shooting inside the arc, hitting 27 of 37 two-point shots. Its two-point shooting percentage (73.0%) was the second-highest under Coach Jasikevicius, per EuroLeague stats.
Despite losing the boards, Barcelona had the edge in the assists department with 25 through 40 minutes of play. Nick Calathes and Rokas Jokubaitis, combined for 12 of those.
Zvezda had 15 assists and 12 turnovers in a tough night for the Serbian team, which shot 25 percent from beyond the arc. FC Barcelona shot a respectable 35 percent from deep.
“I thought our first 15 minutes, were absolutely spectacular, some of our best this season, and the best in a long time,” Jasikevicius said after the game. “Zvezda had won five out of six; they are in a very good shape and they showed it in the second half. We should be happy about, in general, the game and the result.”

Olympiacos sets new record in Thursday’s triumph
Olympiacos outplayed its arch rivals on Thursday’s night to cruise to a 101-73 win vs Panathinaikos. The Reds swept the season series against the Greens in an emphatic way.
A superb offensive performance was the key for Olympiacos, especially in the first quarter as the Greek giants connected on 10 of its of their 12 two-point shots and shot 6 of 8 from three-point territory.
The 28-point difference was easily the biggest gap between the teams in the EuroLeague, surpassing the 19-point win enjoyed by the Reds (65-84) when the teams met in Athens earlier this season.
Moustapha Fall produced a phenomenal first quarter for the home side as he outplayed Giannis Papagiannis in the paint. The French bigman had 9 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 blocked shot in the first 10 minutes of the contest.
