EuroLeague announces the withdrawal of Russian teams

EuroLeague officially announced on Tuesday the withdrawal of the Russian teams from the competition, following Russia’s invasion to Ukraine.

The league will complete the season without CSKA Moscow, UNICS Kazan, Zenit Saint-Petersburg and Lokomotiv Kuban (EuroCup).

All regular season game results versus the Russian teams will be removed from any calculation of the standings. The competition has already modified the standings, with the regular season having 28 games for each team.

Following the official announcement, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Armani Milano and Olympiacos clinched their spot in the playoffs.
