Ergin Ataman opened up about the budget that Anadolu Efes had in the 2021/22 season. In an interview with TRT Spor, the Turkish coach revealed that Efes had a budget of 28M euros.

This number brings the back-to-back EuroLeague champions close to the top in terms of money spent on players’ contracts etc, joining fellow powerhouses Barcelona, Real Madrid, CSKA Moscow and Armani Milano.
Even though Efes’ front office was planning to reduce the budget next season, the chance to win a third straight EuroLeague title puts such plans on hold.
As Ergin Ataman said during his interview wih TRT Spor, he is hopeful that both Shane Larkin and Vasilije Micic will remain with the team.
At the same time, the back-to-back EuroLeague champions are the frontrunners to sign star forward Will Clyburn, who is expected to part ways with CSKA Moscow after the end of the season.
