FC Bayern Munich announced the signing of Elias Harris. The veteran forward returns to the German BBL after two seasons away in Spain and Japan as the German veteran forward will reunite with coach Andrea Trinchieri.
Harris began his career with SG Bad Duerkheim Speyer before spending four years in Gonzaga. He returned to Germany and played for Brose Bamberg for seven seasons winning three German BBL championships.
He has also played for Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA and team’s G League affiliate South Bay Lakers, MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg and Casademont Zaragoza. He averaged 17.8 points and 6.6 rebounds in 43 appearances in Japan last season.

“In the three years under coach Trinchieri I was able to learn a lot, both personally and on the floor through his strong winning mentality, with which he pushes players to their maximum level of performance,” Harris noted.
Harris is the third signing for Bayern this offseason, after Jan Niklas Wimberg and prospect Danko Brankovic. Bayern is coming off another appearance in the EuroLeague playoffs last season and a loss in the German BBL Finals to ALBA Berlin.
