Anadolu Efes has parted ways with veteran swingman James Anderson, the club announced Friday. After four seasons with the Turkish giants, the veteran will move to nee challenges after a successful run with th EuroLeague champions.
Part of the team that won back-to-back EuroLeague titles, Anderson averaged 3.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in 13 games in the competition the past season. He finished his four-year stint with the clun with two EuroLeague championships and a couple of domestic league titles.
Efes is expected to reshape its roster hoping to repeat in the EuroLeague for the third time in the row. They signed Bryant Dunston and Shane Larkin to new deals, while they also kept Erten Gazi, and Bugrahan Tuncer.
In the free agent territory, they already added former EuroLeague MVP Will Clyburn, who left from CSKA Moscow, and they are reportedly close to a deal with Pinar Karsiyaka forward Amath M’Baye.
Efes were not able to win the domestic league this past season falling to its rivals Fenerbache in the Turkish League finals. With that in mind, the EuroLeague giants will hope to return to success in both the European and domestic league level next season.
