Bayern Munich knew they had to amp up their defensive play in Game 4 to have any chance vs Barcelona. They did exactly that as they forced a Game 5 with a 59-52 victory at Audi Dome in the EuroLeague playoffs best-of-five series.
The Bavarians took control of the game early as they led 18-12 in the opening quarter. The home side’s physicality was evident from the start, as the Spaniards finished the game with a 39 percent on 2-pointers and 17 percent from deep.

Bayern continued its intensive play and finish the first-half with a 36-25 lead. The Bavarians allowed Barcelona to score only nine points in the third quarter to expand their advantage to 50-34.
FC Barcelona tried to come back in the last 10 minutes of the game outscoring Bayern 9-18 but the Catalans comeback fell short. Bayern saw Nick Weiler-Babb leading the team with 12 points and eight rebounds along with 4 dishes.
Othelo Hunter had nine points and five rebounds, while Munich’s star Vladimir Lucic added eight points. Alex Abrines was the leading scorer for the visitors with 12 points. Now, the teams are heading back to Spain for the final game of the series.
