Bayern Munich remains eighth after loss to Fenerbahce

Bayern Munich missed the chance to climb higher in the EuroLeague standings, after the road loss to Fenerbahce (81-76).

The Bavarians dropped to 13-13 and have now lost four of their last five games. For their part, the Turks improved to 10-16 and snapped a six-game losing streak.

Pierria Henry (22 points and 8 assists) and Jan Vesely (21 poins and 10 rebounds) led the way for the winners. On the contrary, Augustine Rubit had 17 points for the losing squad.


Fenerbahce led by as many as 15 points in the first half. Bayern turned things around in the third quarter and took the upper hand, with a 9-31 run (54-62). Yet, the hosts outscored their opponents 27-14 in the fourth and went on to win the contest.

Bayern has already advanced to the postseason and is trying to climb higher on the table. They still have two games to play in the regular season vs Anadolu Efes (April 6th, road) and Real Madrid (April 8th, road).

For its part, already-eliminated Fenerbahce will take on Panathinaikos (April 8th, home) and Maccabi Tel-Aviv (April 13th, road).
