Bayern Munich dominated Crvena Zvezda at Audi Dome (82-57) and officially advanced to the EuroLeague playoffs.
The Bavarians improved to 13-12 in the standings and clinched the final playoff spot, as they have the tiebreaker over the Serbians (11-15) and ALBA Berlin (11-15).
MVP: Augustine Rubit and DeShaun Thomas led the way in scoring for the Bavarians, with 22 and 16 points, respectively.
Key to victory: Bayern took over after the first quarter and never looked back. Playing excellent on both ends, the hosts outscored Zvezda 48-25 between the second and third quarter to take a 20-point lead and seal the deal (63-43).
Bayern still has three games to play, all of them on the road. The Bavarians will take on Fenerbahce (April 4), Anadolu Efes (April 6) and Real Madrid (April 8).
For its part, Crvena Zvezda will face Zalgiris in Kaunas (April 3) and will host Efes in its final regular season (April 8).
