Baskonia completes first offseason move with Daulton Hommes

After the departure of Alec Peters, Baskonia announced its first move of the offseason with the signing of forward Daulton Hommes. The Washington native will join the Spanish powerhouse on a two-year contract.

Coming off a season in the G League with Birmingham Squadron, Hommes became the first signing of head coach Joan Penarroya. Hommes averaged 13.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists over 14 games for the New Orleans Pelicans affiliate last season.

Prior to his G League experience, the American forward had a one-year stint with Cremona in the Lega Basket Serie A. He had 16.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.6 blocks, and 0.6 steals per contest over 28 appearances in Italy.

After going undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft, he started his professional career with Austin Spurs, the San Antonio Spurs’ affiliate in the G League. Hommes will play for the first time in the upper tier of the European basketball scene and make his EuroLeague debut.

A versatile forward at 2.03m, Hommes played college basketball in Western Washington University from 2015 to 2019.
