Barcelona president Joan Laporta addressed the third place in the 2022 EuroLeague Final Four and the plans for next season.
Laporta said it was disappointing that the team failed to win the title. He also called the loss to Real Madrid ‘unacceptable’, after the “Whites” came back from a double-digit deficit to win the semi-final.
The president of Barcelona noted that reaching the Final Four was a great accomplishment and now the team has its sights set on the ACB playoffs.
“I want to see how the season will end for us and then I will decide whether there will be a reduction in the budget. We now need to focus on winning the championship,” Laporta said in an interview with L’Esportiu de Catalunya, via Eurohoops.net.
Barcelona has already been linked to Jan Vesely and has made an offer to the Czech center of Fenerbahce to replace Brandon Davies.
